Jon Yenari's Photo

Category: Most unusual fly fishing photo or species. ( since it is on the golf course)
My name is Jon Yenari. My friend and I were playing golf (nine holes) AND fishing for tarpon at one of the areas undisclosed golf courses. Here is one of the picts that I took that is interesting. We hooked and landed two tarpon that day, this one was 6 pounds. They were rolling all over the lakes that day. You can even see the flag on one of the greens in the background. My friend Bill Ackourey, as you can see, is wearing proper golf attire. He shot even par for that nine holes (two birdies and two bogies), even though we were very distracted by the rolling fish and the pops that you heard every now and then. He was fishing a 5 wt rod with a weight forward line and a red/white deer hair mullet pattern.
